Travel Support
Some travel support is available for early-career researchers who cannot otherwise fund their participation. Eligibility will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. To apply, please send a brief email to the organizing committee outlining your need for support. While there is no set deadline for applying for travel support, we recommend that you contact us as soon as you receive confirmation of your accepted contribution to the conference. Please note that we will not be able to reimburse you for travel or accommodation bookings already completed; we can only assist with booking parts of your travel or accommodation. Further details on the support amount and the process will be provided upon request.
Accommodation
If you are joining our conference from outside Hamburg, we are already looking forward to welcoming you here. Due to ongoing trade fairs and large events in the city, many hotels near the conference venue are likely already fully booked for September. Therefore, we recommend securing your accommodation soon after you receive confirmation of your acceptance to the conference.
To avoid high costs for hotels in the city center and in proximity to our conference venue, we recommend considering the following hotels, which are well-connected to our conference venue by public transport:
- InterCity Barmbek (about 30 minutes to the conference venue via U3 & U2 lines)
- IBIS Styles Barmbek (about 30 minutes to the conference venue via U3 & U2 lines)
- Motel One Hamburg-Alster (about 23 minutes to the conference venue via U1 line)
- Motel One Altona (about 36 minutes to the conference venue via bus line 4)
- IBIS Budget Hamburg-City (about 22 minutes to the conference venue via U1 line or bus line 112)
